The Plan Review Division conducts an in-depth review of all architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans for code compliance as well as specialized systems such as fire alarm, automatic sprinkler systems, hood suppression systems and smoke management systems. The Plan Review Division has become totally digital, streamlining the process of submitting, reviewing and issuing permits for projects submitted to the State Fire Marshal's Office.
Memo From the State Fire Marshal Regarding Online Plan Submittals
Notices for all Design Professionals and Contractors:
***Effective March 1st, 2025: All plan submissions will be required to be submitted via our Plan Review Request Portal.
***Submitting Revisions or Resubmittals: Any resubmissions for projects with document numbers beginnig with "PR" cannot be uploaded to the portal. You must contact our office for instructions to submit revisions or resubmittals (304)-558-2191 Ext. 08590.
***Invoice and Payment Procedures: An invoice will be emailed to the email address provided on the application along with a link to where the payment can be made. Please note that our agency will no longer accept money orders, cash, or physical checks for online submissions.
